DAHG BLAHG!
A while back I started a blog of DOG related illustrations. Well, I finally went back and updated with new images and a new title! There are over 100 dog images and so many more that I haven't posted. I love dogs. They make me laugh so much. :)

miniMATIONS
My first short montage of my illustrations coming to life!
I JUST figured out how to do this in Photoshop CS2 so they're not the most elaborate animations but at the same time, they're exactly what I had in mind! I wanted to just, for a split second ( uh, literally!) make my illustrations come to life. Turn on the sound for the FULL experience! ;)

SUSHIMOBILES
Just finished a series of small watercolor paintings of SUSHIMOBILES for a Japan Relief fundraiser! I LOVE making art for charities, non-profits, and fundraisers.
I created a total of 8 small, watercolor images ( but I forgot to scan in two of them before I gave them away, oops) and I think that I'll try to make a whole book of 'em when I have some more time/$. :)

CHEFABLES ILLUSTRATIONS
Recently just wrapped up a couple full page ( 9 x 12) illustrations for a hardcover book full of short educational "fables" about nutrition for elementary school children. The short tale I illustrated was called "The Rule Of Thumb" and the main characters are John Thumb and his evil brother - hence the reason they have large Tom Robbins-esque thumbs. ;)

ROGUE SCHOLAR
Recently I've been working with a really awesome non-profit from Seattle called ROGUE SCHOLAR. I've created these posters/images for them to use for whatever their hearts desire.
I loved creating these witty and funny images for them, and it was a great collaboration of ideas. I also have the honor of being one of their current Rogue Scholars. Radtown!

IndyKids Centerspread
Lately I've been doing the center spreads for a free NYC children's newspaper called IndyKids. This piece is about children with disabilities and how they are able to do a lot of things despite their disability. Below that is another spot illo for the same page.
In other news: I'm back from tour with my band! It was so much fun. I didn't have a computer for almost 2 weeks or internet ( sometimes I got to check my email on an iphone). I planned on drawing on the off time but it was back to back shows and driving place to place, so, no time! But, I'll post up some recent doodles tomorrow from my post-tour chillout time here in Vermont. Today we went to a swimming hole and drove through the beautiful country-side and I made a lil' comic about it. Sooooooooooooo nice.
More stuff later!

Cheesefly
I've been on the road or the recording studio or busy working on projects for a while so this is the first time I've had a chance to just sit down and draw just for the sake of drawing. I've gotta do more of it! I forget how many tiny stories begin this way. Like this one.... :)
Once upon a time I was sitting on a mushroom when I decided to grab a Cheesefly and bite it. It tasted pretty good so I've been biting them ever since. The End.

L'ARTICHO POO!
I've been drawing some poop for the next "poop themed" Parisian L'Articho illustration/comics publication that will come out in September!
This one won't be in the zine but a couple more will be-- I'll post them up once it comes out!
I'm really excited about this issue. There are going to be so many RAD contributors like LILI SCRATCHY, MOGU TAKAHASHI, and of course the creators CHAMO and YASSINE! :)

INDY KIDS EDITORIAL
Here is part of an editorial I did for INDYKIDS in NYC. The one above is the final version. Below was my first submission but they felt that the princess looked too meek. They wanted her to be a little tougher. So, I recycled the prince by putting his boots on her, turned her dress into pants, made her look angrier and bent her arms ever so slightly so the sword pointed more toward the dragon - all without having to redraw or rescan, just by manipulating, cutting and pasting my original pencil drawing here and there in photoshop. Fun.
